Memorial Services For Kurt Crain

Services will be held at 4pm today at the Worship Center at Cottage Hill Baptist Church in Mobile.

The funeral service has been scheduled for Friday April 13th, in Birmingham, Alabama at the Southern Heritage Funeral Home.

Visitation will begin at 3:30 p.m., with the funeral service scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m.

USA assistant coach Kurt Crain dead in home

Police from the Eastern Shore have reported that USA Assistant Coach Kurt Crain was found in his residence this afternoon.

At this moment no further details have been release but, police do not suspect any signs of foul play.

Cain 47, was an inaugural member of Coach Joey Jones staff for Jaguar football, and worked as a linebacker's coach.

He was an Associated Press All-American at linebacker at Auburn University,

A two-time all-SEC selection, he was voted a team captain his senior season and would go on to record team-leading totals with 168 tackles — still the second-highest figure on the AU season record charts — and five interceptions.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Krain family as well as the USA family.

Jordan Means is first Jaguar to earn All-America recognition

Jordan Means has made history in becoming the first Jag to receive All-American recognition.

The placekicker received honorable mention from the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision (formerly NCAA Division I-AA) All-America selection by the Beyond Sports College Network.

Means a 6-foot-2, 200-pound senior from Hoover, Ala led USA with 62 points in the fall.

He becoming the first placekicker to pace the Jaguars in scoring in their first three years of competition
